Derek M. Barker
Derek M. Barker has been practicing since 1991 when he graduated from the John Marshall Law School. He has trial experience and prepared a wide variety of cases in the insurance defense field. He concentrates on transportation liability issues as well as premises cases involving criminal assaults. He has handled countless court-mandated and UM/UIM arbitrations, has tried almost 50 non-jury trials, and 20 jury trials. He also acts as trial counsel in many successful subrogation cases for the firm. He concentrates on transportation liability issues as well as premises cases of all varieties, including criminal assaults, and recently expanded his practice area to defense of liquor liability and dram matters for a leading liquor liability insurer.
